New 1 GHz PowerMiser
Amplifier Modules Use 50% less
Current than Competing Products.
Conway, SC - May 11,
2007 4Cable TV, Inc. has today introduced the first in a line of
replacement 1 GHz CATV amplifier modules that utilize the company's
proprietary PowerMiser low-current technology. The PowerMiser technology reduces the current requirements for a CATV module by
approximately 50% over existing products.
Current 1 GHz Line Extenders draw
approximately 950 mA, but an equalivlent PowerMiser Line
Extender will draw only 460 mA, while maintaining distortions in the
mid to high 70s. This reduced current equates into an operational
savings in the cost of electricity, cooler amplifier operation for
higher reliability, fewer power supplies and longer standby times from
standby power supplies. PowerMiser
modules are under development
for all amplifier platforms currently used in the industry.
Replacement PowerMiser modules are available now:
1.
4CLE1000 for the Magnavox/Philips 6LE series of line
extenders;
2.
4CSF-1039 for the CCor
SF-739 Mini Trunk;
3.
4CE-10XX for the CCor E-7 series of line extenders.
Pricing is dependant on options such as
AGC, but will be in the low to high $200.00 range.
4Cable TV is in
the process of preparing and filing a number of patent applications
for the PowerMiser technology.
4Cable TV, Inc. was
formed in May of 2006 by two Industry veterans, Steven K. Richey and

August of 2006. From its location in
Conway, 4Cable TV has provided
equipment to CATV systems all over the world. As the PowerMiser
technology is adopted by the Cable TV Industry up to 25 new high-tech jobs will be created in Horry County.
